About See U Sunday

Guided by grace, grounded in truth.

Welcome. I’m glad you’re here.

I grew up around many different beliefs, and I found my way back to faith through my husband’s. Since then I have been studying the Bible as a learner, not a theologian. Jesus said to love God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind (Matthew 22:37). This site is where I practice the third one out loud.

What I believe about women

I am egalitarian. I believe God gifts and calls women and men alike to lead, teach, and serve, and that Scripture, read as a whole story, supports that. Deborah judged a nation. Priscilla taught a preacher. Mary Magdalene carried the first news of the resurrection. Phoebe delivered and taught the Book of Romans.

Faithful Christians read some passages differently, and I love many who do. I’m not here to win a fight. I’m here to read the whole chapter, ask honest questions, and invite you to do the same.

What you’ll find here

  • Women of the Bible and the hard passages, read in context
  • Reflections on faith, family, and everyday life
  • The Book, a lighthearted way to start the conversation

Why “See U Sunday”

Sunday is the day of rest and the day Jesus rose. The name is a reminder to look for God’s presence, and an invitation to come back.

This space is for all women from all backgrounds, no matter what you believe.

How See U Sunday Got Its Name

The name popped into my mind long before I bought the domain, and at first I wasn’t sure about it. I worried it might sound legalistic, as if Sunday were the only acceptable day to rest and worship. I don’t believe that. The Sabbath is about rest, reflection, and connection with God, whatever day it falls on.

But the more I’ve put into this ministry, the more the name has deepened for me.

Some of my fondest childhood memories are Sundays. Every other weekend I stayed with my grandmother, who also cared for my great-grandmother. On Sundays we would all walk next door to a small chapel built by the Puritans in the 1600s, sing hymns, hear Scripture, and come home to Sunday dinner, usually with the pastor at the table.

Sunday is also the day of rest, a day to pause and turn our hearts toward God. And it is the day Jesus rose from the dead, the cornerstone of our faith and the promise of a new beginning.

So See U Sunday is about more than a day of the week. It is about truly seeing God’s presence in our lives and in each other.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." - Proverbs 3:5-6
